It was an exciting time in Boston recently, not just because the Red Sox and Yankees had a weekend series, but because “GBTA was in town.”

The Cendyn team was excited to be part of the tradeshow and have the chance to speak to customers and perspective clients. What did we learn? It was clear that SMM (Strategic Meetings Management) is still a hot topic, with many companies seeking assistance whether they are in the middle of SMM, just launching or thinking about launching.

The bottom line? Organizations need better ways to manage their meetings while having a complete understanding of spend and return across meetings. Technology is the key to getting results and data required to meet those goals.

What became even more clear was the need to fully understand the choices an organization has in this space with all the recent mergers and acquisitions.
