California’s basketball fans have cause to celebrate! The long-awaited Intuit Dome — one of the sports world’s most anticipated arenas — has finally opened in Inglewood, California. The league’s latest venue ribbon-cutting means that the LA Clippers will no longer be sharing the Crypto.com Arena with the LA Lakers and LA Kings, as they have for decades. Both the team and it fans are excited about the Clippers’ new home, as it incorporates countless exciting new specs and features — all of which make Intuit Dome a masterpiece of a venue to check out.
One exciting new aspect is a dedicated fan area called “The Wall.” The Wall incorporates some special new rules for attendees (among them: no cheering for the opposing team, or wearing any of the opponents’ gear). The Dome also features an inspirational exhibit of more than 1,500 basketball jerseys, one from every high school team in California. And since fan experience is a top priority, the Clippers installed the Halo Board; an eclipse-shaped, 44,000 square foot, double-sided wrap-around screen illuminated by 233 million LEDs. The Halo Board hangs above the court, enhancing the inside-the-arena experience so fans can see the action from any seat. Each seat also has its own USB-C charger, a built-in controller for playing games, and a decibel meter that measures fan movement and sound. Outside, there’s a massive 260,000 square foot plaza with a regulation basketball court. The court will be available for anyone to play pick-up games before or after Clippers games.
Additionally, the events calendar at Intuit Dome includes some notable can’t-miss entertainment events. Pop legend Bruno Mars opened the venue with an inaugural concert on August 15, 2024. The arena will play host to the 2026 NBA All-Star Game on February 15, 2026. As though that weren’t enough, the arena will also serve as a basketball venue during the 2028 LA Summer Olympics!
There’s no doubt about it: Intuit Dome will deliver an innovative fan experience that redefines live events and benefits the local community in unprecedented ways for years to come.
