Super Bowl LVII is ready for kick-off in Glendale, Arizona on Sunday, February 12th, as the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs punched their tickets to the big game during Championship weekend. The Eagles took down the San Francisco 49ers easily in the NFC Championship, with a scoreline of 31-7, after the 49ers suffered an injury to their rookie starting quarterback, Brock Purdy. The Chiefs won the AFC Championship in a tightly contested matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals. The game came down to the final drive after Bengals defensive lineman, Joseph Ossai, committed a late hit on Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The costly penalty got the Chiefs into field goal range in the final seconds, and the kick was good, sending the Chiefs to their third Super Bowl in the past four years.

This Super Bowl matchup comes as no surprise to most football fans. For most of the regular season, these two teams have been the benchmarks for their respective conferences. The Chiefs and Eagles both finished as the number one seeds for the playoffs, with 14-3 regular season records. The Chiefs are led on offense by their superstar duo of quarterback Patrick Mahomes and tight end Travis Kelce, while the Eagles have their own firepower consisting of breakout quarterback Jalen Hurts, wide receivers AJ Brown and DeVonta, and center Jason Kelce. Yes, both teams have a Kelce, and they are the first set of brothers to face off in a Super Bowl.

Super Bowl LVII will be taking place at State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals, for the third time in its history. State Farm Stadium opened in 2006 and has already hosted many of the country’s biggest events. The stadium holds 63,400 fans but can expand for larger events to host 73,000. Premium options include 88 lofts and 7,505 club seats available across the 1.7 million square feet of space. One of the coolest features of this stadium is that the playing surface is natural grass that can be rolled into the stadium from the outside, then rolled back out to host events on the stadium’s floor. The stadium also boasts a huge retractable roof that can take advantage of the nice Arizona weather but also allow for the luxury of air-conditioned comfort. To enjoy that luxurious air-conditioning on Super Bowl Sunday, you’ll need to spend just under $5,000 to get into the building with a ticket.

If football isn’t your thing, there will be plenty to watch when there isn’t action on the field. Along with a new round of funny and expensive commercials, Rhianna will be taking the stage at half time. Rhianna, or as her fans call her “RiRi”, is known for hits such as “We Found Love”, “This is What You Came For”, and “Work”. She is sure to put on a great show, and fans can look forward to the usual surprise guests joining her on stage. With all of the spectacle surrounding this year’s Super Bowl, it should be a really great matchup to end the season.
